Elmer Albert Jackson

Please keep the family and friends of Elmer Albert (Boonie) Jackson in your thoughts and prayers. Elmer was 94 years of age, lived in Pittsburgh, and entered into The Arms of The Lord April 8, 2023. Elmer was born July 2, 1928 to the late Elmer A. Jackson, Sr. and Sarah Jackson. Elmer was the beloved husband of the late Peggy Watlington Jackson.

He graduated from Westinghouse High School Class of 1946 and later served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He was retired as a Supervisor for the US Postal Service. He became an active member of the V.F.W. He enjoyed traveling, reading, and listening to jazz. He was a fan of the Pittsburgh Pirates and the Steelers and was active with A.A.R.P. Elmer is survived by two sons-Michael Booker, his wife Charmaine, their daughter Nickia and son Michael W. Booker, II; and Elmer A. (Buff) Jackson, Jr. Also survived by his sister Mabel E. Jackson and Special Friend Miss Ellie Fair. Mr. Jackson was predeceased by a son John Anthony Booker.

Visitation with the family will be Friday, April 21, 2023 from 2 PM to 3:30 PM with Remembrances and Commemorations from 3:30 until 4 PM. Interment will be in The Homewood Cemetery.
