Byron, affectionately known as “Pap Pap,” was 67 years of age, lived in Pittsburgh, and passed away peacefully at his home on June 18th, 2024. Byron was born in Pittsburgh, PA on December 18th, 1956 to the late William Davis Jr. and Madge Evelyn Nesbit Reidout Davis.
Byron is survived by his daughter Anna Davis, his sisters Carolyn McKinney, Linda Diane Davis-Robinson and Jerome Robinson Sr., Nedra Davis-Uslu, and his brothers Nathan Sims and Ronald Sims.
Byron is also survived by his nieces and nephews, Jerome Robinson Jr., Daryl Mike Davis, Andre Davis, Cassaundra Lynn Davis, Leslie Robinson-Cox and her husband Jeffery, Jimmy Lofton, Deandre (Maureen) Sims, Christopher (Nicole) Sims and Bryant Sims, his great nieces and nephews, Phoenix, Nairobi, Isis, and Zaire, his cousin Bonnie Marquess, as well as a host of other family members.
Byron is also preceded in death by his two brothers, Ernest (Angeline) Sims and Michael R. Davis. Byron will also surely be missed by his beloved dog Meechie Glenn Davis.
Byron graduated from Gladstone High School and had a career of being a butcher at Dimperio’s Market in Hazelwood, Giant Eagle in Pittsburgh, Robert Wooley’s in Pittsburgh, and K-Mart in Detroit, Michigan.
Arrangements entrusted to Vereb Funeral Home (formerly O’Conner’s), 5106 Second Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15207. Visitation with the family will be announced at a later date.
