Andrew Toth

d. July 10, 2016

Toth, Andrew (Andy) Joseph Jr., age 65, of Hazelwood entered into the arms of the Lord, Sunday, July 10, 2016. Beloved husband of Cindy Lee (Simpson) of 40 years.
Cherished father of Andrew Charles and Michael Dennis (fiance Nicole Sinder).
Dear son of the late Grace (Fetchik) and Andrew Joseph Toth.
Caring brother of Grace (Paul) Heffner, the late Barbara (Albert) Bobnes, Esther (the late James) Mullen and Richard (Susan) Toth. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Andy proudly served four years with the U.S. Marine Corps in Southeast Asia during the Vietnam Conflict. He was an aircraft electrician. After his discharge he worked for Mesta Machine. In addition to being an electrician, Andy was a skilled carpenter and worked for many construction companies after the mill shut down. Most notably he worked for J & D Remodeling which was co-owned by his best friend, Dennis Welch. Andy was a jack of all trades even selling ladies shoes at Gimbels. In his mid forties, he returned to college and attended the University of Pittsburgh. He received his Masters Degree in Social Work and graduated Summa Cum Laude in 2006. He found his dream job at Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic as a mental health therapist concentrating on dual diagnosis and drug and alcohol addictions. Andy truly loved his clients. He was a kind, loving person with a great sense of humor. He loved animals- especially his dog Winston, NPR, Charlie Chan movies and riding his motorcycle. He will be missed and life will be less colorful without him.
Friends received Wednesday and Thursday 2-4 and 6-8 PM at The John D. O’Connor & Son FH, Inc, 5106 Second Ave, Hazelwood. 412-521-8116.
Service Friday at the Funeral Home at 11 AM.
